Mission Week 39, Brazil Week 33
This week flew by, but at the same time last Monday feels like another life.
This week was a little different because of Carnival that sort of
threw us for a loop, but otherwise it was good. We made 102 contacts
this week. Just goes to show how goal setting can help you accomplish
what you want to do. Sister N. is great with setting goals.
Working with her is great. She's focused and hard working, but also has a
good sense of humor.
We found 10 novos (new people to teach-slk) this week as well, which is the standard set by
the mission. Unfortunately, even after calling everyone and running
after everyone on Sunday, only one person came to church. We definitely
need to focus on working more with the members.
Something that I was thinking about recently was the importance of
planning. For example, this past week I ended the week practically
crawling back to the apartment I was so spent (only slightly
exagerated). We definitely worked hard, but we still didn't have all of
the success that we could have had. POR QUE (WHY-slk)? Because we didn't plan
ahead as well at the begining of the week. Your results aren't just
based on how hard you work, but more importantly on how smart you work.
There's really no way to take a short cut around it.
Anyway, it was really special to have H. at church yesterday.
She came to Sacrament Meeting at the last minute to hear me speak in
church! We called her this morning, and she said that she's never making
coffee again! Milagre (Miracle-slk)!
We have to work hard now to help everyone else progress as well.
Até Mais (so more, or more so, or until more?-slk)!
Sarah
