Bom Dia Familia! (Good Day Family!)

    I hope everyone's doing well at home!  Here in Belém, we're gearing up for NATAL (Christmas)!  It's still hard to remember that it's Christmas time when it's 88˚, but TUDO BEM!  Ha,ha, it's really not that bad :)!

    This week, I introduced Sister O. to Christmas-contactos -- Christmas caroling / tracting.  SO GREAT!  We walk up to people and ask them if we can sing "um hino de Natal", and then sing for them.  This is called "cara de pau", or rough translation:  lack of embarrassment.  Not sure really how it translates... (Chutzpah, or shamelessly??  I am thinking bravado? SLK)

    BUT!  We're having a lot of success with this.

    Lately, I've been frustrated with the quality of investigators that we have/seemingly lack of success.  Here, practically everyone will let you give them a message about the Gospel, so it's hard to sift through and find the people that are really earnestly interested in putting in the work to KNOW for themselves, and that understand the importance. 

    In the end though, you realize that missionary work isn't all about the results you see in other people, but it's very importantly about the changes that occur in YOU. Every commandment has a promised blessing.  Missionary work is a commandment.  Obey it, and the Lord is obligated to keep His end of the bargain and bless you in ways you may not have expected, or simply aren't seeing.
