Mission week 26, Brazil week 20
This week. Feeling a little overwhelmed with all the
things we need to do, but what else is new. I keep having nightmares
about not turning in term papers on time...Ha, ha! Oh well.
This week
we made a contact with an eleito (elect-slk)! This guy's never been to a church
before (unheard of here), but has always wanted to go--just no one ever
invited him. Soooo, we invited him. This week he showed up on his own
(MIRACLE), and in the RAIN (another miracle). A lot of members don't
come when it rains.
We're also teaching a pair of sisters that are neighbors of a
member family. Both of them are really special. The one that came to
church yesterday liked it, though it was a lot different than what she
was used to. She wants to be a pastora (pastor-slk) apparently...hopefully that can
translate to future missionary :)!
Let's see...We have a mission Christmas devotional
for the Belém Stakes (regional group of churches-slk) this Friday. Lot's of singing! I've had a cold for
the past week, but I think my voice will be better by then.
